DESICCATED COCONUT

Desiccated coconut is obtained by shredding or flaking the white coconut meat, then drying it to remove as much moisture as possible, and finally classifying the grades based on the particular sizes. The fact that this product does not contain any artificial coloring, preservatives, or additional flavors, makes it one of the most wanted due to its natural fresh coconut flavor and its finest quality.

Curiosity

Coconut is grown in most parts of Sri Lanka, except for the higher zones, and is mostly concentrated in the area called “Coconut Triangle” which is composed of Puttalam, Kurunegala, and Colombo districts. On the other hand, Coconut can tolerate a range of tropical climate conditions, that’s why it is planted from sea level lands until 750 meters above the sea.
